Aquatic plants have always been a speciality at Stapeley Water Gardens.

We have an extensive aquatic plants sales area, plus a small lake and pool display area which since 1988 houses part of the National Collection of Nymphaea (water lilies); which are in bloom throughout the summer.

The addition of plants to a pool is not only for aesthetic reasons, but to create a natural pond balance and clear water.

Over 200 varieties of water plants including water lilies, marginals, moisture loving and oxygenating plants can be purchased from us via collection or mailorder, typically between mid-march to mid-September (depending on seasonal climate).

Some plants can be purchased ready planted in pond baskets topped with gravel (collection only).

For those people who are purchasing through our mail order system or who prefer to plant their own, we have a large selection of different sized planting baskets to choose from.

As well as baskets we have special water plant food pellets, aquatic soil and gravel plus a whole host of useful aquatic items.

We have experienced staff on hand throughout the summer to offer help and advice on any aspect of aquatic plants and their aquaculture.
